Qualcomm’s XR business is seeking a Staff Product Manager to join a talented and innovative team developing the next generation of Augmented and Mixed reality (XR) technologies. The Staff Product manager will lead the ideation, technical development, and commercialization of the Snapdragon Spaces Developer SDK, driving development with cross functional teams of world-class hardware and software engineers, designers, and product and business specialists. We are looking for a creative product leader with the passion for building technology that will impact the world through the power of Augmented and Mixed Reality and accelerate how 3rd party developers use XR to positively impact people’s lives.
You are a systems thinker and an executer who will translate the business’s high-level vision and goals into actionable tasks, communicating these plans to key constituents across the organization to establish a shared vision, including with the executive team. You will set product strategy, defining a product roadmap that prioritizes features, product requirements, and timelines assembled from multiple sources understanding current and future needs. You will define and analyze metrics that inform success of the product areas you manage including performance and build consensus across the organization ensuring cross functional communication and alignment. You will coordinate product schedules with your design, program, and engineering teammates championing the “voice of the developer/creator”, while making decisions that have substantial impact on the organization and its products success.
You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy that includes a big-picture vision and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time in the market with developers, creators, and other internal and external influencers, customers, and partners to understand their needs, and find innovative solutions for broader market problems that will inform the product roadmap.
Communications skills are key to success in this role, you must possess verbal and written skills that convey complex information to audiences with differing knowledge levels including high level internal constituents and can develop strong rapport and credibility both internally and externally to resolve conflicts and promote ideas persuasively and collaboratively. You will work with engineering and program counterparts to define product release requirements based on market problems, this role will require strong negotiation, influence, and consensus building on priorities to achieve high quality and dependable product execution. You must be prepared to make decisions with imperfect information, know how to lead without authority and be comfortable managing in ambiguity, and complexity.
