The Global CAD team defines and enables the RTL to GDSII flows for variety of advanced low power and high performance SOCs, enabling state-of-the-art chipsets from Qualcomm. 

The Design Flow Development team is looking for outstanding engineers with experience in STA, timing ECO and PDN methodology. The candidate will drive best-in-class sign-off flows for >1billion device SOCs in cutting edge technologies.

Roles & responsibilities

This role is located in Cork, Ireland   

As a PDN EMIR CAD Engineer, you will be a member of team developing chip PDN signoff methodology and flow: 

– PDN methodology and flow development for Signoff domain

– Driving development of various features like IR drop, Static IR, Dynamic IR Vless and VCD

– Developing and Enhancing solution like Inrush, ESD, signal EM and Power EM Signoff

– CAD automation for PDN related data mining and processing

– Participating in project proposal development including key milestones and deliverables

– Execute and deliver project goals in a timely manner with production support

– Resolve issues in all phases of development to assure smooth project execution

Critical “Must Have” skills/experience for role: 

– 3+ years industrial work experience

– Expertise in Redhawk, RHSC, Voltus

– Highly Proficient in Python, TCL and Perl

– Expert in Power Integrity Signoff Checks, PDN IP models

– Excellent problem-solving skills and results-driven

– Good communication skills

– Minimum Qualification Master’s of Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering

Preferred skills/experience for role: 

– Comfortable with extraction, STA, ECO is a plus

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.

OR

Master’s degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field.

Work Experience:     

– 3+ years industrial work experience
