To celebrate another successful year of ELLIS and share the holiday spirit among different ELLIS Units, the ELLIS Pub Quiz was held in a hybrid format with 36 people joining the event from different parts of Europe forming 6 teams, including two online teams from ELLIS unit Alicante, and ELLIS unit Freiburg respectively, and four onsite teams of ELLIS unit Amsterdam. The event was organised in person at the Oerknal Eetcafe, Science Park, Amsterdam.
The quiz was divided into two rounds with various trivia questions, ranging from Greek mythology to AI, and hosted by Andreas Pantelli, a PhD student at the University of Amsterdam.
A team joining from Amsterdam who introduced themselves as ‘Dangerous Squirrels’, won first place followed by the ELLIS unit Alicante team. The first winners received prizes which are sponsored by Zeta Alpha, Qualcomm Technologies, Bosch, and the ELLIS unit Amsterdam.
The ELLIS unit Amsterdam thanked all the participants who made the evening joyful and fun.
