About the team:
You will join the innovation unit of SAP Signavio, one of SAP's fastest-growing product lines, where you will be part of the Blue Sky Team. This team connects research and development, providing a collaborative environment for PhDs, visiting researchers, and master’s students to share and discuss ideas with engineers. Together, the team works towards advancing business transformation by "de-risking innovation topics" through validating their feasibility, desirability, and viability.
In this role, you’ll:
· Build prototypes and alpha versions that showcase how cutting-edge technologies can be integrated into SAP products
· Collaborate with Reseach, Product, and Engineering teams on long-running innovation initiatives
· Support the development of a business process simulation tool, including both backend and frontend
· Deploy your solution on Lab Space, SAP Signavio’s platform for making innovation prototypes accessible to colleagues and selected customers
You are a student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences. We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stays curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.
· You are a student of Computer Science or a similar subject.
· You are fluent in English (written and spoken).
· Ideally, you are interested in working with SAP in the long run.
You have the following required skills:
· Excellent programming skills (preferably Python)
· Good knowledge of version control software
· Basic knowledge of test-driven development and business process management
· Strong communication and collaboration skills
· Basic requirements management skills
· Ability to work independently and to proactively ask for feedback to continuously improve your work
· Ability to quickly grasp new domains and source code
Ideally, you have the following desired skills:
· Experience with JavaScript and React
· Advanced knowledge of business process simulation
· Broad business process management knowledge, and the creative ability to apply computer science and software engineering skills to solve business process management problems
Learning & Development Opportunities
· Hands-On Experience: Gain practical skills in backend development and user interface design for business process simulation tools.
· Technical Skills: Enhance programming expertise, particularly in Python, and work with modern development platforms.
· Research Integration: Work in an environment where academic research intersects with industry practice, offering valuable insights for your own academic ambitions.
