ELLIS Research and Community Retreat | 26 November 2026

You are invited to the ELLIS Research and Community Retreat: Connecting AI Talent, Research & Impact, bringing together the ELLIS Amsterdam community, alumni, students, and industry partners.

Date: Thursday, 26 November 2026
Time: 13:40–19:00
Venue: Lab42, Amsterdam Science Park

The afternoon will spotlight the research and impact of ELLIS PhD alumni working in academia and industry, showcase research from our community, and explore how we can strengthen the Dutch AI ecosystem. There will also be opportunities to exchange ideas and connect over networking drinks and a NeurIPS poster session.

The tentative programme will feature a keynote lecture by Efstratios Gavves (Professor of Physical AI, ELLIS Fellow, University of Amsterdam), ELLIS PhD and alumni talks highlighting research and impact across academia and industry, updates on ELLIS initiatives, and a panel discussion on the future of AI and the Dutch AI ecosystem. The afternoon will conclude with networking drinks and a pre-NeurIPS poster session, bringing together researchers, alumni, students, and industry partners.

We look forward to bringing the community together and hope you can join us!
