From the 22nd till the 24th of June the 23th International Workshop on Qualitative Reasoning (QR2009) will be held at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia.
In the winter of 2003 a special issue of AI Magazine was published, which was dedicated entirely to qualitative reasoning.
The American Association for Artificial Intelligence (AAAI) has a webpage dedicated to Qualitative Reasoning (QR). It contains a definition of the field, good places to start learning about QR, online readings, and links to websites related to QR.
Monet is a European Network of Excellence and is composed of academics, industrialists and others interested in promoting emergent Artificial Intelligence technologies into industry. These technologies, model-based systems and qualitative reasoning, offer solutions to complex problems which are only partially understood. MONET held a Summer School for PhD-students and Industrialists interested in increasing their knowledge of these Technologies.
From the 24th till the 26th of June 2008 the 22th International Workshop on Qualitative Reasoning (QR2008) will be held at the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado, United States.
From 27th until the 29th of June 2007, the 21th edition of the international qualitative reasoning workshop (QR2007) was held in Aberystwyth, U.K. Before this workshop, from the 25th and 26th of June 2007, the Qualitative Reasoning Summer School 2007 was held on the same location.
On July 10-12 2006, the 20th edition of the international qualitative reasoning workshop has been held in Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. The papers of this workshop are available online.
On May 18-20 2005, the 19th edition of the international qualitative reasoning workshop has been held in Graz University of Technology, Graz, Austria. The papers of this workshop are available online.
On May 16-19 1995, the 9th International Workshop on Qualitative Reasoning has been held in the University of Amsterdam, Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
