There are four assignments considered for this course, as
addressed below.

Please note that because
of the different number of ECs for the IK students (5 ECs), for the AI students
(3 ECs), and the IN students (3 ECs):
- In Assignments 1 to 3, while
some of the questions are mandatory for all students, some other questions
are marked to be mandatory only for the “Databases IK” or “Databases AI”
and “Database1 (IN)”.
- The Assignment-4 is mandatory
only for the “Databases IK” and “Database1 (IN)” students.
Rules for submitting
assignments:
- All assignments must be done individually by students.
- The assistants may ask you some questions about your answers to the
assignments.
- All assignments must be
submitted on or before the deadline, to the designated course assistants
for the IK, AI, and IN courses, as stated on the assignment description
page.
- Work submitted after deadlines
without acceptable excuse, will not be evaluated. In special cases
when a late assignment can be accepted, the grade may be lowered.
- Accepted formats for submitted
text files are the Microsoft Word documents, PDF, and HTML, unless
otherwise directly agreed with the teaching assistants.
- In the case of online
submission of your assignments to the teaching assistants, please note
that it is your responsibility
to follow the submission up and request/receive an acknowledgement from
the assistants that they have received your submission.
- An example solution for each
assignment will be published on the course web site a few days after the
assignment’s deadline.
