Based on the highest level research, it spreads its knowledge and methods in academia, industry and society.<\/p>\n<p>The project has launched the <a href=\"https:\/\/elise.fundingbox.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">first Open Call<\/a> for the best SMEs and Startups that develop novel AI-based services or applications.<\/p>\n<p>Selected 16 companies will enter the 6-months Program and receive:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Up to \u20ac 60.000 (lump sum) to develop novel AI-based applications to the given challenges;<\/li>\n<li>Visibility through ELISE digital channels and events<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>To participate in the Open Call the following application form needs to be filled from the 29th of April until the 1st of July: <a href=\"https:\/\/elise.fundingbox.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/elise.fundingbox.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Projects should address the development and implementation of technology and systems in at least one focus area listed below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Geometric Deep Learning: graph, group and gauge convolutions<\/li>\n<li>Robust Machine Learning<\/li>\n<li>Interactive Learning and Interventional Representations<\/li>\n<li>Machine Learning and Computer Vision<\/li>\n<li>Robot Learning: Closing the Reality Gap<\/li>\n<li>Human-centric Machine Learning<\/li>\n<li>Theory, Algorithms and Computations of Modern Learning Systems<\/li>\n<li>Quantum and physics-based Machine Learning<\/li>\n<li>Natural Intelligence<\/li>\n<li>Health<\/li>\n<li>Machine Learning in Earth and Climate Sciences<\/li>\n<li>Natural Language Processing (NLP)<\/li>\n<li>Multimedia \/ multimodal information<\/li>\n<li>Information retrieval<\/li>\n<li>Explainability and Fairness in Data Mining<\/li>\n<li>Symbolic Machine Learning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Focus areas are based on ELISE\/<a href=\"https:\/\/ellis.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ELLIS<\/a> research programs but are not limited to them as long as the proposals will address high-impact societal and economic challenges using machine learning.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":1894,"template":"","news-or-blog":[15],"class_list":["post-1893","news-","type-news-","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","news-or-blog-news"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/ivi.fnwi.uva.nl\/ellis\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/news-\/1893","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/ivi.fnwi.uva.nl\/ellis\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/news-"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/ivi.fnwi.uva.nl\/ellis\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/news-"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/ivi.fnwi.uva.nl\/ellis\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/1894"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/ivi.fnwi.uva.nl\/ellis\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=1893"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"news-or-blog","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/ivi.fnwi.uva.nl\/ellis\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/news-or-blog?post=1893"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
