Roles & responsibilities

Qualcomm’s XR team is seeking a Systems Integration and Test Engineer (SIT Engineer) to join a talented and innovative team developing the next generation of augmented and virtual reality (XR) technologies. We are looking for a quality obsessed SIT Engineer that wants to help contribute to the next phase of our company’s growth.  

  • The Systems Test Engineer must have a good understanding of Augmented/Virtual Reality and general computer vision enabling technologies.

  • Candidates must be able to evaluate technologies, systems, and devices through testing, logging and analysis.

  • Candidate must be able to create testing environments using software and hardware tools.

  • Candidates must be able to develop test procedures, execute tests, and isolate problems.

  • Candidates may be called upon to present and talk about prototypes in trade shows and other such venues. 

  • You will interact with systems engineering and R&D teams setting up test cases and scenarios as well as automatizing some of the test scenarios.

  • Communications skills are key to success in this role, you must possess verbal and written skills that convey your test strategies and results to various stakeholders.  

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. 

  • Data analysis, automation and scripting 

  • Experience working with and testing applications on Windows, Linux and Android. 

  • 3+ years of industry experience is required. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with Augmented/Virtual Reality and general computer vision enabling technologies and devices 

  • Experience in performance test analysis and monitoring 

  • Knowledge of HTML/JS/CSS 

  • Experience with Programming Languages such as Python, C or C++ 

  • Docker for virtualization 

  • Experience with Motion Capture Systems (e.g. OptiTrack)
